breakfast with dad
one of my closest friends
sunshine on the table
and the page
and the hand is moving quick
keeping the thoughts
flowing from breakfast with dad
appreciate the friendship
after years of unwavering support
no matter what the midnight call
might have been shift
gears now speaking with an old friend
and the relationship with his dad
completely opposite situation
then we drove by the school
where we met in the 3rd grade
wasn’t even planned…
