heat of today

two bluejays

two sunny days

countless cups of coffee to drink

countless hours in which to think

the heat finally arrives

and randomness drives

this frosty train of thought

no matter how fast get caught

relaxing in the sun today

perfecting timing to be this way...

meshing thoughts

today I have seen

a blue jay an oriole

and a cardinal

all from the same spot

no bird watcher

just happen to be paying attention

to all that goes on around

where I sit and enjoy my life

like a tree that grows a little everyday

even if it goes unnoticed

reading about the lives of others

their minds overflowed with thought too

caught held in volumes forever

these eyes help the thoughts escape

momentarily when the thoughts

of two mesh…

write it all down

I am no poet just a thinker

with a lot on the mind

wish I could embrace some poetic voice

but it all comes out too random

to be called poetry

writing with colored pens

but very few get to see what color

thought original then re-thought

typed and put with more thought

part of an enormous collection

of writing but I am no poet

just someone who thinks a lot

and happens to write it all down...

rain hasn't stopped

calendar says it's summer

time yet the rain hasn't stopped

since March April and May

of course June was the worst in

sometime saw sun completely only two

days (maybe 3)

nothing more than that

the birds still sing out loud

at 430am despite all the rain

the cat always visits me

on the front step every morning then

on the back porch evening time 
then falls asleep right

on my book...
