head down writing
only seconds it seems
suddenly wet from over
the head and behind
snow on the page
nearly covering winter coat
sleeve and can hear it
fall into the back of the hood
covered with the first blanket
they say it could be one to three
they are hardly right
head down writing
trying to get a few words down
before the page gets soaked
with those fat flakes
and honestly every one of them
looks different as will
this page once the paper
and ink dry
head down writing
most of the day
working with words
and into the night
no doubt...
