celebrating
some sort
of independence
at what expense
guess I should
be proud
forefathers
with raised fists
against the
crown
still what right
to evict the
inhabitants
who’s to blame
now
wouldn’t want
to live
elsewhere
that’s not how
positive change
is achieved
the kings don’t
wear crowns
they wear suits
and drive expensive cars
how much
freedom do we
still have to
celebrate…
