out in the garden

out in the garden
as the sun goes out of view
behind the trees
and under some trees of my own
watering all the vegetables
we will soon eat
out in the garden
finding and being peace
as if I never knew it before
never looking forward
to a week of hard work
at peace knowing it will
come and go that fast
just like the two days off
out in the garden
used to be a playground
for all the neighborhood kids
and now everyone is grown
and I have returned...
