thoughts intense and vision clear
can’t even pretend to keep up with the mind
the hand is too slow it’s always behind
like the truth behind a wall of silence
like peace hidden somewhere behind all the violence
independently thinking we need a new beginning
how many have to die and who is really winning
when here at home we are losing our freedom
the government eats our rights as if we don’t need them…
