his problem is that he trusts
his feelings and doubt
was once invisible
but should be the one
ingredient that never leaves
turning all the appropriate
colors and then falling to the ground
and blowing away
these false hopes he keeps
are gone now but recent enough
that they return from time to time
they return with renewed force
ready to topple the new
goals he sets for himself...
