approaching the intersection
like every other day
yellow then red
stop tonight lights
screaming action somewhere
he’s hit
police car hit him
at a strange angle
airbag upper body blow
thrown into the backseat
belt still attached
smoke rises
a shell of a car
and his limp body pretzel
blood lost and he is only
seeing white
then green light proceed
to his final resting spot…
