they all take turns as he reels
pain almost falling to one side
they make sure he stays standing
the blade turns with each blow
strange though
he cannot remember
wronging anyone to deserve
this ongoing punishment
at one point the faces
were recognizable
his eyes have since closed
probably passing out
as they leave him for dead…
