somehow must have forgot
not all the details
when history taught
war was the right thing
defeat the enemy
so many years later
still battling an enemy
studying the wars reveals
evil always allowed to exist
until a time when the good guys
will drop the good fist
anniversary of something
no one is talking about
when the smoke finally cleared
how many could even walk about
over one hundred thousand
destroyed one moment in time
sixty-eight years later
sit in the thought with a rhyme
the world is not any safer
less safe no doubt
bombed all the way in
and bombed on the way out
anniversary of an act
inhumane destructive power
and that same government exists
with more greed and power…
