quiet road small town
hours before dawn
trying to remember
thoughts hazy
that early hour or two
before sun will come
up over trees not buildings like in the city
winter's new england sand is everywhere
the sand that kept us from slipping
on the ice now blowing in the cool breeze
of the mind afternoon sun light dose of vitamin D
with no co-pay
road still quiet ride home right after one
saw the ones that call me their son
kids still in school
everyone working coming back after
lunch break
the monotony
and tomorrow will be the same...
