but that’s not possible
so if they ask
just as close as he can get
under the blanket
burning candles
opposite side of the room
too much of a good thing
all he wants
and it couldn’t possibly be
too much of that good thing
definitely the right amount
the day passes slower
when he is alone
don’t ask why he is sleeping
middle of the day
he isn’t sleeping
he is merely trying to reach
back into his dreams…
