rapidly getting slow

can you keep up the pace
rapidly getting slow
to roll out of bed
made only minutes after waking
only to do someone else’s work
what a life
luckily there are positive aspects
allowing us to go on each day
on a path no one knows
how we will make it
doesn’t make sense
that we even made it this far
along and only others work is important
focus on the spots
where happiness dwells
silently waiting to be found
hiding from what’s real today
gone tomorrow is the end of May
an unseasonable month
since last we spoke
too many things to count on this
we never found that reason
why we all work for other people
money cannot buy happiness
definitely the worn out cliché
life can sometimes be natural
as if something actually mattered
as the consumer in all of us stops
to make sure as hell
that we remain on the right path…
