the four of us share one thing
the city in which we were born
seventy-5 years ago the oldest came to be
and I am the first born of a first born
so what does that mean
nineteen hundred and twenty-two
what was I doing in that year
seeing some of the similarities
that may have skipped a generation
and are me
the city of shoes and champions
history and what it has become
seventy five years and two generations later
sitting where many have sat before
